The General English program is designed to improve general English language proficiency for use in everyday situations. The courses are suitable for students at all levels who wish to focus on developing communicative skills for everyday use while learning about American culture.

You will develop knowledge skills and confidence in the key areas of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, social English, listening, speaking, reading, writing, American culture, discussion, presentation skills and independent study.

Organized in 4-week programs of:

27 lessons/week (intensive)
21 lessons/week (semi-intensive)
15 lessons/week

including core language skills development and up to nine hours of learning labs, application of language skills in the Oregon State University and Corvallis community, elective modules, activities and field trips.

Aged 16 and above
