Entry requirement High School diploma.

Program duration Each term is 10-11 weeks in length.
4 terms per year.
Minimum enrollment of one term.
Lessons per week 23 lessons per week of class work which includes 12 to 15 hours of core language skills development, 6 to 9 hours of electives and at least 2 hours per week in the Conversant Program. In addition, students are required to engage in at least 20 hours of directed study outside the classroom in research projects, group projects, learning center activities and daily preparation for classes.
Levels Beginner to advanced.
Progression requirements to a pathway program from Academic English
  • Successful completion of academic English level 4 or higher (must pass ALL classes) or
  • score 5.0 or higher on the IELTS exam or
  • score 53+ iBT or 477+ PBT on the TOEFL exam.

AN INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE
The Academic English program is a rigorous and intensive program designed to prepare students for entry to university study. The program will help you learn necessary study skills and develop English language proficiency.
