| Academic entry requirement |
Students need to have completed 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades, or show strong evidence of ability to complete the programme successfully and progress to their chosen degree. |

IELTS 5.0 or equivalent score on an INTO English language test. IELTS 5.5 for fast track April start. Students who do not meet the minimum requirements should apply for English for Undergraduate Study. |

The Foundation in Computing offers a level of academic preparation equivalent to studying the first year of a Scottish undergraduate degree. It also ensures that you meet the minimum English language requirements for second year university study. Successful completion of the programme offers assured progression to a number of specialist degrees within the School of Engineering and Computing.
